I'm reading OotP with my son. Yesterday, we got to the part where Harry turns in a potion he made and Snape purposefully knocks the bottle to the floor breaking it and then awards Harry a zero for the assignment. Do you honestly think that's fair?

I know that in that scene Snape was angry that Harry had seen his private memories in the pensieve, but Snape is an adult and should be capable of handling his anger better than that.

Snape is a fascinating and complex character, but he was also absolutely a bully.
