While Billy/Flint could possibly still happen, a recent interview of Toby's hints that another character is getting Flint first. (Assuming Billy gets him at all later.) So yeah, I'm just waiting for that.

I just hope it's not Silver. I love him as a character, but hate the idea of him and Flint. Though, I think that might be the interview where it's hinted that it's someone unexpected that Flint ends up getting close to? So, I think Silver is the obvious...

Of course all these ships are destined to sink given the events of 'Treasure Island.'

Okay - so even though I do ship Billy/Flint - I would LOVE for Thomas to still be alive!

They've been reeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaally vague about his death. And we haven't seen a body. There's hope.

It's too dark a show for Thomas and Flint to ride off into the sunset together, but they could have something.

Right? Everyone else gets basically sliced up into mincemeat with every gory detail shown but for Thomas, we got "yeah he kinda died back there idk"? I'm still convinced he's alive (and possibly out of the mental asylum and cruising around as a pirate but that's just wild speculation).

After a few years in a mental asylum, he should be good and crazy. Which leads me to think that their reunion will be bittersweet and painful. It should spawn a thousand fics and be glorious.

Hell, I ship Billy/Flint and they annoy the crap out of me.

I hadn't realized there was much of a fandom for that pairing, so when I found a blog on tumblr dedicated to it, I was kinda thrilled. At first.

I am no longer thrilled (or following for that matter).

Yeah, it's tin-hattery of the highest level over there. I mean, just because I ship it, doesn't mean I believe without a shadow of a doubt it's gonna happen! I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd love it if it did...but, yeah... doubt it highly. And they're so convinced that it HAS to become canon...

I'm just gonna ship quietly in my own corner and hope that occasionally some good fic shows up. (Which, at this point, is thin on the ground, lemme tell ya!)

It's so funny: In the beginning I thought Billy might be a character revealed as gay and I passively shipped him with Flint (in a "there could at least something one-sided going on on the show" way) but by now (with the ship being a teensy tiny possibility) I don't actually think it's a Canon possibility anymore.

Yes exactly. It's not that I don't like the ship, and I (probably) would like it (depending on how it was written) if it did happen in canon.

But the way most of the metas for it are all crap like "ooh the way his eye twitched in the third scene of episode 6 means I can predict the entire rest of the show with perfect accuracy!" drives me crazy.

??? How are they everywhere? Where do you go? Because I'm also in the fandom and it is tiny and I don't see much more Billy/Flint stuff than anything else. If anything there's more Max/Anne....
