I think the second game was eventually worth it, if only for the bit where it applies the debate mechanics to the MC's internal monologue so you can shut up all the voices in his head telling him he can't win. With that said, it really doubled down on all the "suspension of disbelief is for chumps!" stuff from the first game. Every time there was a plot or character element that strained belief, it cranked that up to eleven and basically challenged the player to stay invested anyway, because it's just a game, don't take it so seriously. (And then a certain plot twist made the whole thing meta in the whiniest way possible.)

Wow, I thought SA goons were supposed to be hardcore jackoffs who acted like stereotypical '90s hacker-subculture assholes. honestly, i think dangan ronpa 2 would be better without these unnecessary "sexual scenes" (actually, that's what made it work in the first game - no constant panty shots? not a lot of fanservice? HELL YEAH).

i kinda agree with you on ace attorney - i hope you never played ace investigations. that's even worse with the hand holding.

I liked Ace Attorney a lot but I agree, the constant "You can't skip the tutorials" and "you can't use that yet because ~Phoenix doesn't know why yet~" was incredibly annoying.
