I don't think this is incorrect.

The part where it gets sexist is where people assume this is true plus assume women don't play video games so there's no need for a female option.

I understand where game companies are coming from if it's a matter of budget and catering to the majority of their playerbase but say it's about money and don't make excuses about how it's okay or not important or necessary or something. Especially in a game where all that changes is literally a character skin.
