Re: Mad Max: Fury Road

I would rec the first three as well. Like you, I watched Fury Road and enjoyed it a lot, without having watched any Mad Max previously.
The one thing I'd say is that you should go in with different expectations. They're much lower budget, and actually quite a bit less car chasing than Fury Road. But it's a good series, I think. I was very impressed by it, as a whole.

Yeah, I did something similar with Die Hard where I watched 4 and 5 and then went back to watch 1 (still working on 2 and 3). I think the Mad Max films are more stand-alone though, right? Like the continuity isn't very strong and only Max is the one character who's in all of them? I liked Max but I liked Nux and the wives and Furiosa a lot too. I might give it a while before I try the other ones.
