I thought Sally Ride and Sally Field were the same person, and that Sally had gone from being an astronaut to being an actress.

I didn't get how that worked either.

That's not as strange as when Neil Armstrong died and the Internet revealed that tons of people had him confused with either Lance Armstrong or Neil Patrick Harris.

AYRT - True. Or when Charles Manson almost married that creepy woman (who ended up just wanting his dead body or something), and people were like "why is everyone hating on Marilyn Manson?"

Although admittedly, when I first heard of Charles Manson I briefly pondered the possibility of a relation...

I read this book advocating censorship in music that kept calling him Marilyn Mansfield.

I also saw some people confuse him with Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong.
