Yeah, but that "some" was loud, and they were definitely pandered to.

I admit they were about Jo, but then Jo was just not handled well. But about others? I'm gonna say no, because a) there were almost no other female characters introduced that were in the position of being considered a 'significant other' (Lisa is it for Dean, Amelia for Sam) and neither were planned as long-term 'partners' mostly because...how could they be?

Sam and Dean are the focus of the show, they're always going to be abandoning or putting aside or unfortunately entangling in dangerous situations anyone else around them. Civilians (like Lisa) end up hurt or possibly even dead, which really kind of goes against their mission statement.

I can't think of any other women that were set up as anything remotely long-term, and all other hunters on the show have been shown to be either single or single parents, no long-term partners (unless they're family) and no civilian partners. It's not like the Winchester boy's situation is unique.
