They were also pissed over her cosplaying a Japanese character, weren't they?

The whole thing just reads as, well someone got a massive hateboner for her, and then used social justice to whip up a hate crusade against her. People fall in line with it because that's what they're supposed to.

All of her alleged sins were things others have done and no one has batted an eyelash at. The difference is they didn't piss someone off or inspire someone's jealousy.

okay, I had to look up this mess around sodomquake and I honestly thought she'd be untouchable. She's been doing fandom since most of the SU fans were in diapers and I'm still 15+ years in the past and think she's one of those BNFs no one goes against.

(don't mind me, I just can't let Squaresoft fandom go)

They weren't even pissed at her for cosplaying a Japanese character, they were pissed at her for cosplaying a TROLL from ANOTHER PLANET that happens to take from Asian culture. Like she was literally cosplaying an alien.

DA. She's biracial Asian, so it's not like she's doing yellowface, even if it was an Asian character. The accusation was bullshit; all of them against her were.
