- having genuine interests, even if I don't share them. I think it's cool when someone is really into something and obviously likes learnig and talking about it and can tell you things a lot of people don't know.

- BUT they don't try to make every conversation about their interests (or themself). They can show interest in other people and other people's interests, too.

- desire to go places and see things... I'm not much of a stay at home type person, and I like it when other people are willing to go places and do new things.

- they show a genuine attempt to understand other people and other people's points of view. Ability to see why different people see things certain ways (without always feeling like they have to agree with all the ways)

- they can express disagreement and explain their own point of view without being a dick or mocking the other person.
