I agree with that, and I'm totally down with a genderqueer Mettaton who likes the whole 'dude with a pussy' aesthetic, I really don't think there needs to be a whole justification for it to be honest (especially because lets be real, only like 20% of the porn drawn out there involving trans people is coming from actual trans people who want to draw sexy things involving people like them, most of it is cis people who get off on dudes with pussies or chicks with dicks), but I was responding mainly to OP who brought up the 'trans' thing.

But also...

Why can't he have been female before and still be a fabulous queen? Fem trans guys exist, in larger numbers than you might think, especially guys who have an easier time passing because they feel they can embrace 'fem' things without being misgendered. To me each of these interpretations is valid. Mettaton is a flamboyant character that plays around with masculine and feminine qualities pretty equally, and wanting a vagina as his sexual bits isn't like shockingly OOC (in fact I'd argue it goes along with his whole fem aesthetic tbh).

But the reason I responded like I did before was I feel like Secret!OP was kind of making it all about genitals though, more along the lines of 'There's an awful lot of Mettaton art out there with him having a pussy and that doesn't personally turn MY crank, so why are they doing that???' while trying to loosely justify it by pulling the 'trans' card, and like I said before, we're not a hivemind, there are plenty of humans walking around who totally embrace and even love being a dude with a pussy, so why Mettaton couldn't also be this is beyond me.
