I'm suddenly more interested in Battle Star Galactica than I've ever been before seeing that photo.

Starbuck's and Apollo's relationship is in my opinion the worst part of the show, but they're pretty cool characters individually.

I had no idea this was a common opinion. I've always thought that shipping them was almost obligatory in the fandom.

It is weird because friendship ships are my thing. But they just brought out the worst in each other. They were at their most unlikable when they were together. And plus I liked Starbuck and Anders a lot. And poor Dee who did nothing to deserve how Apollo treated her.

Agreed, on all counts. But especially about liking Kara with Sam :)

Nah, Kara/Lee was big but there was also a big following for lots of other characters and ships. It was such a big ensemble show that there was room for all kinds of subfandoms, including ones that didn't care about Lee or Kara at all.

I ship them, but in fairness that is almost 100% because I think they are hot together and not because I think they are necessarily the best for each other

I disagree but it's not like they're the only characters or in a consistently relevant relationship anyway.
