Restaurant Stuff

More DC questions!

On one of the days, I am going to eat at a bit more upscale restaurant. I will be going to Arlington, then eating lunch at the place, then walking to see all of the monuments (like a three hour process).

Should I A) Bring an extra pair of shoes and pants to wear at the restaurant B)Just go dressed in casual clothing C) Take a 90 minute roundtrip on the metro back to my hotel to change after eating (so wear dress pants/shoes to Arlington). D) Other suggestion

Wear casual clothes would probably be what I would do. I don't know this specific restaurant, but you're also going for lunch.

You're going in March, so just wear a nice pair of dark jeans or pants. The weather's going to be super unpredictable. (I went for Cherry Blossom festival one year and it hailed on us. I think it was late March that year)

Yeah, that looks like what I will be doing (but I will bring an extra pair of dress shoes).

I agree with shortysc22 - nice dark jeans or pants. You could wear nicer shoes for lunch and bring comfy walking shoes to change into.

That sounds like a good idea. Going to have to find some smaller dress shoes so we are not carrying around giant ones!

I would suggest a cute pair of flats. Hell, depending on the flats, you might be able to find some nice ones that would still be comfortable to walk around in and not have to bring extra shoes.

I hope you have fun in DC! I literally live 40 minutes away, and never get up there. Because I suck and hate DC traffic.
