Scary, psycho murderous woman. They either rely too much on "hasn't achieved her growth into an adult" and behaves like a psycho child or teenager, or they are like that because of a creepy obsession with a man usually.

I just want all the scariness without all the drama and without the weird cute creepyness they are associated with.

This so much. She's either childlike (usually having father issues) or she's obsessed with a man or plays second to a main male villain.

That's a problem I have with yandere types. I hate the obsessive aspect of the character.

Agreed. I'd love more female villians who are genuinely scary and intimidating - Hannibal Lecter types - without always having to be either the "femme fatale" or "creepy child/old crone."

This. It's why I hated the hype around Gone Girl's villain. To me she was just another "men have wronged me I must be EVIL" type.

Really? I thought the whole point with her was that she hadn't actually been wronged. She was just utterly batshit. Yeah, so the guy cheated on her a little - but she was whacko way before she ever got with him.
