A better bet for "Twilight with angels" is Laini Taylor's Daughter of Smoke and Bone series. Not really angels, but the books do deal with what happens when a bunch of people who look like angels show up, complete with plot threads about doomsday cults. And every time I reshelved Hush, Hush or its sequels at the library where I work, I wished someone would spill coffee on it.
