I've ranted about it before at F!S, so I'll just say that I could compile a list of Hateful Things, Sei Shonagon style, about Sarah Jio's Goodnight June. The latest item on the list: the married guy who was the awesome great-aunt's lover (we're supposed to think both of these people are awesome, btw) misses his daughter's 10th birthday because he's with his mistress. Then he brings the girl a copy of Goodnight Moon for a belated present. For her 10th birthday? WTF.
