Yeah, real life resemblances can be...odd. A guy who I went to one of my highschools with looks like Frodo and even now, I can't unsee it.

I had a university professor who looked like James Spader era Stargate. He taught an "origins of the bible" class basically. I wasn't the only one who noticed either. He got to Exodus and it was just, so hard to keep a straight face in class.

Holy moly, I don't think I would have survived a James Spader-lookalike professor. The crush I had on my Hugh-Grant-but-100x-cuter Classics prof was painful enough...Spader would be lethal.

One of my English lecturers looks like Ioan Gruffudd, right down to the mannerisms and having done his PHD in Wales. Part of me is grateful that he is taking a required class that I hate, part of me worries that I might be unable to concentrate.

Who was the actor, if you don't mind OP? I think I used to wish to have a professor that resembled Johnny Depp, but I'm rather glad that was never the case.

It's less of a "neat trimmed manly beard" and more of a "I got lost in the woods for three weeks and I have just re entered civilization" beard. (Not saying it looks awful on him, but he'd never be the kind to wear the former anyway)
