30 Rock/Sweet Valley series

It just occurred to me that Liz and Jenna could easily be Liz and Jessica. The "nice responsible one" (who actually isn't all that nice or responsible) versus, well, Jessica/Jenna.

Really in both cases, it's more that the Liz's are versions of Jessica/Jenna who know they should be more caring and empathetic, and who are smart enough to get away with their less empathetic moments.

This is a really interesting, good secret, and you should feel good for well, not having the time to make it.

I would love to see the discussion this would get if it were made as a posted secret.

I think 30 Rock was much more self-aware of its Liz not actually being "nice and responsible" than Sweet Valley was.

AYRT - Oh, for sure. I feel like that was the point of 30 Rock!Liz - SVH!Liz was supposed to be legitimately nice and responsible, I think.
