I organise my fic folder by tiers.

Tier 1: Well written, well plotted, in character. Essentially as if the fic has followed the characters off of the screen/page. (Rare)

Tier 2: Well written, well plotted, not quite in character. (Much more common)

Tier 3: Okay writing, well plotted, not quite in character...

etc etc
