I got nuthin for Elves = WASPS.

But I've always loved how Tolkien's Dwarves echoed Jewish folks in old time Europe. Dispersed from a destroyed homeland, separate language and writing system used among themselves, a different relationship with Mahal/Eru/the Valinor, different ideas about the afterlife, an awesome culture steriotyped as greedy by ignorant outsiders (lookin at you Leggles), insular even separatist ideals.

I don't know much about Jews 500+ years ago, so this might be offensive. Sorry. Dwarves kick ass though.

The Israel-Palestine conflict is a conflict between two groups that are indigenous to that region, the Levant. You can't fit this situation into your neat little "oppressive white colonizers vs. oppressed colonized POC" box, because that's not what's going on there at all.

Nobody brought whiteness or even anti-Semitism into this. I'm raised Jewish and everyone in my family is against what the government of Israel is doing. There's a HUGE difference, and you just hit upon why at least the US media isn't reporting it fairly--because they don't want to be view3ed as anti-Semitic because they know dipsticks will conflate the two.

Israeli governments have always deliberately conflated Jewishness and the Israeli state in order to make that accusation, the current regime is really pushing the boat out in doing so. To the point where they accidentally exonerated Hitler of the Holocaust in order to blame Iran for hating Israel before it even existed. The stupid was strong that day. The current glorious leader of All the Jews...sorry Israel (he only calls himself that in private) has even insinuated that Jews not living in Israel are not properly Jewish too. Especially the black Jews from Africa and the Caribbean.
