Amelie (that French movie)

(Anonymous) 2016-01-31 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
The movie cover literally terrifies me. She looks like a distorted, demonic clown. I saw that movie cover long before I saw the movie itself and I thought it would be a horror film.

I considered actually making this secret but I didn't want to have to Google and Photoshop that picture. eyuck...

The weirdest part is, the lady is actually super cute in the movie, so why ever would they make her look so terrifying?

I think it's supposed to make her look curious, or intriguing. Or inviting--come, follow me into my whimsical life full of small adventures in Paris!

Side note:
1) I love the movie and the soundtrack
2) If you like the actress, and Gaspard Ulliel(sp), you should check out Une Longue Dimanche de Fiancialles. Fair warning, it is /very/ long. And requires attention.
3) I haven't recc'd it in a while, but Angel-A is a great movie (happens to be French) and you should check it out. One of my favorites.
