Same. And my SO found a few things about them recently when he was helping me to reformat my computer after finally downloading and installing Windows 10.

He was simultaneously O_O! and ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) about it. XD;;;

Any tips? I hate Windows 10.

Uh, lets see...download Spybot Anti-Beacon. This turns the dumbass telemetry crap, even if you had selected to turn off the stuff at the start. Windows 10 still has many that are hidden that you can't turn off unless you use this or are just that savvy with computers.

Get Advanced SystemCare 9.1 and iObit Uninstaller (it's a really reall comprehensive uninstaller and will get rid of the residual hidden files associated with programs you don't want). SystemCare just manages your start ups, optimizes your computer, and will defrag your registry, fix security holes, shortcuts, clean junk files, etc etc.

Classic Shell is needed for the Start Menu. This'll give you options to make it look like the original classic menu or even the Windows 7 one, your choice.

DriverBooster3 is a much needed program to make sure your drivers are all up to date. I also like iObit Malware Fighter. I use in cunjunction with Norton.

I also looked around and found a script that gets rid of Cortana, but it has to be run as an administrator. However, it breaks your search function. So be sure you know where you are keeping your files. I can't remember the exact site I found it, but if you don't find it in searching or if I find it again, I'll send you the link.

Everything up there is free, so no need to worry about trials or buying anything. Though the iObit stuff likes to go "hey, we KNOW you wanna buy the Pro stuff!!" *wink wink nudge nudge* Just ignore that.

Also, if you have an SSD hard-drive, do NOT let the iObit stuff install and use SmartDefrag. That can destroy your hard-drive over time.
