Which of your fandoms have you cringed at because your fellow fans attacked other ships, wrote crappy fic, showed pwp fanfic to the actors it was about, etc?

Teen Wolf, but especially Sterek shippers.

Sending the cast cookies for Sterek, just generally being insufferable. And I like Sterek, dammit!

To be fair, I hold Jeff & co. equally responsible. As a comm grad who's also in & familiar with fandom, I'm floored that anyone working PR for Teen Wolf let the cast & crew become as involved with the fandom as they did. Having interns reading fic & the MTV Teen Wolf twitter encouraging the fans tweeting about wanting Allison to die? Yikes! What a disastrous nightmare.

Sleepy Hollow for the Ichabbie shippers and people who irrationally hate Katrina or the actress who played Katrina.

Sherlock for Johnlock and thinking that it's totally endgame or for thinking that ANY of their gap ships in the show will be canon. Wishful thinking, guys...

Yeah, I thought of dipping my toe in the fandom for like a hot minute and decided not to because the vocal fans were really unpleasant. I ship Ichabod/Abbie, too, and I'm not a fan of Katrina but, god, why would you hate on the actress who plays her??

The Kylux fandom was so lovely and chill at the beginning but now that it's getting more popular they start getting all in one the ship war, mainly against Reylo, and I think shipwars are pathetic.
