No, that is not how a rental contract with a flat rate for electricity works.

Hmm, are those common where you live? Because pretty much everyone I know pays for amount of use with electricity.

Where I live is a university town, so things like 6 month or contracts without leases are common, as are "all included" contracts with utilities budgeted in.

Learned my damn lesson though. This time around I'm charging per use.

lol, I once had a tenant who thought that if she left for a month, she wouldn't have to pay rent.
