Wouldn't work. We can try, but people have their own experiences. This is a community full of women, and as such the majority of us will have a personal history of mistreatment by men. We can try and not let that color how we treat men, but it does make for a subtle bias. Enough people like that and we have a community with a, admittedly very slight, bent towards men not being as welcome. I don't think we're doing it on purpose, but it's the way it always shakes out.
