I don't really think of NPCs as characters. They're just, I don't know, "cannon" fodder to stab and loot. I don't even notice if the person I'm stabbing and looting has a male or female model. I'm certainly not thinking "hooray, I get to stab and loot a LADY now!"

There have been a few cases in the AC series where there has been plot-related violence against an actual female character with actual dialogue (Ezio and Lucrezia, for example), but that was hero-vs-villain stuff. And I don't think antagonists should be exempt from kidnapping/stabbing just because they happen to be women.
