I really don't think anyone's talking legality here. We're all saying the boyfriend did some shady thing and that OP has every right to be upset about it.

Only if it involves a legal document. If BF signed something saying he wouldn't go check out OP's cam, sure, legal. This is just "he lied to me, and is a jerk". Which is a moral issue.

I say: Bringing "violation of consent" into the discussion brings legality into it.

You say: Only if it involves a legal document.

If someone rapes me, they have violated my consent to sex. There was no legal document involved. When other people here talk about this as a violation of consent -- however wrong they may be -- they're drawing an equivalent to rape (by deception). That is making legality an issue.

Tell me again how I'm trolling.
