There really are far, far fewer cool-looking shinies than there have a right to be. :<

Yeah I like a few shinies but a lot have weird palettes.

If you're lucky catching them you can always trade them out easily though, some people always want shinies.

This is a pretty secret, OP.

I know this feel OP. There's only a handful of shinies I like for their color palates: Tyrantrum, Umbreon, Sylveon, the Purrloin line, the Pawniard line, the Espurr line, and Florges.

I agree. Why do so many have to be this off shade of the original pokemon's color?

Are these your examples of cool ones? I hope so, because imo the bottom left is a great design.

Blue ponyta is my favorite shiny.

I think there are lots of really pretty shinies. It's very hit-or-miss though.

I agree. Though I got lucky to get a shiny Shinx of my first time playing pokemon, most of the color palettes just look so so bad.

(Anonymous) 2016-02-04 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
shinies of blue colored scheme tend to be the ugliest too. that ugly magenta. and the lime green ones are the WORST. and then you have shiny garchomp

i just shiny charm/SR/matsuda method for the shinies i want, because i find the pastel looking ones cute as fuck.

Some are very nice looking. Like Dragonair, Ninetales, even Espeon and Mew. But some of them...like Dragonite...ugh, so ugly. And some are just lazy, like Raichu and Garchomp.

Yeeeaaah this.
My first shiny other than the G/S/D gyarados was a geodude, which isn't half bad. The next one I got was a shiny wooper, which is a great one imho.

But a whole bunch of them are just wtf. I don't understand the logic D:.
