I get "gay romance" can be sorta misleading if one character is.. bi? Same-sex romance is more clear, but doesn't roll off the tongue. You could say "queer" rather than LGBT, but some trans people identify as queer (and to be fair, they have every right to because they are subject to the slur as well). And if you just say "LGB" you sound like you hate trans people. idk.

late (sorry!) but I think honestly the best is just "M/F", "M/M", or "F/F" for these kind of things.
