I agree about asexuals not being oppressed, but tbqh I wouldn't mind if they were included. Putting aside the controversy of heteromantic asexuals claiming to be queer (skeeeeevy), I think there's a legitimate argument to made for the inclusion of aromantic asexual people (and of course, homoromantic/biromantic asexuals, but that goes without saying).

On the other hand, demisexuals wanting in on the acronym can jump off a bridge.

Sorta this? I kind of don't want asexuals included on one hand because I also don't consider them oppressed (at least not in the same way as LGBT people are) but I think, while we're talking about sexual orientation and gender identity, people who have no sexual urges at all are kind of part of the conversation. Maybe they aren't "queer" but in discussing sexuality and gender, why not, I guess?

but that really only applies, imo, to people who are completely asexual, not whatever dumb Tumblr spectrum there is now. because those people can go on doing as they do, that's fine, but seriously, so can other non-queer people.
