I remember before Deathly Hallows came out and there counselors preemptively getting ready to help kids in case Harry died

Dumb as it sounds, I wish I had that. A fictional character's death really upset me and I know it's not normal to be this upset. I know it probably has to do with my depression rl, but I feel dumb because wtf self they're fictional. Why are you projecting all your issues onto a character?

Haha. After the death in The Half-Blood Prince, I was like fucking heartbroken for half a day. I comforted myself by writing a stupid crack theory about how the person was still alive, and pulled all sorts of "evidence" out of my ass, and then posting it on the internet. It wasn't a bad outlet, and believe it or not, it improved my mood immensely and helped me to accept the death.

That's how I was with Sirius in OOTP. And I was even spoiled before hand but refused to believe it because of course she wouldn't do that to Sirius right? I totally read all the fix-its where he was really alive or Harry got him out of the veil.

I stopped watching OUAT when Neal died, but I'm still lurking in fandom, hoping he'll be back, even though I know the only reason his characterization wasn't totally awful is that the writers killed him off before they could completely ruin him (even if the manner of his death made him look less intelligent than he should've been.) Still mad he's dead and it's been ... Two years? Something like that. It's not the reason I'm depressed, but I get where you're coming from because seriously, brain, you have real shit to worry about, a dead character from a shitty Disney soap shouldn't freak you out so much.
