It's huge. If you don't like one part of it, there's many places to visit, some of them remote and incredibly beautiful. We have a fantastic system of state and national parks, for example. You can find lakes, mountains, coast, desert, plains, forests... all sorts of different places, all unique.

Food costs are relatively low here compared to most of Europe. It might not always be gourmet fare, but we have lots of interesting regional foods and a lot of places have little mom and pop places that have been run the same way for 30-40 years.

Gas is cheap right now, so there are many awesome roadtrip possibilities.
