...Hmmm you know now that I think about it I'm applying for an RP with a ~~British~~ English (probably I'm honestly not sure?) character sooo I should probably look into it a little but she's got a really defined voice and it isn't EXACTLY England or anything obviously. (icon related)

I'm English but do not mind being called British. In no way is it associated with being racist. We are incidentally still members of The British Commonwealth and it was through that fact, long before we joined the EU that many of our immigrants planted the seeds of multiculturalism as they had British passports. As for the UK it comprises England, Northern Ireland and Scotland though the latter looks set for complete devolution such as Wales has done.

Wales is still a constituent part of the United Kingdom, fyi.

I was more intrigued as o where the slang 'Brit, came to be associated with racism. I put it down to the perennial love of fairy stories.
