I CRIED TOO! And your so right about the multiverse thing. There are too many possibilties and ideas to count.

I would read ANYTHING that was a crossover with The Dark Tower, as long as it was fairly well written.

I kind of choked up when that happened, but I wasn't that bad about it. I was really sad when Eddie was killed and REALLY sad when Jake sacrificed himself. The one thing I wasn't really a fan of was Susannah going off into a parallel world.

At the end right? I kinda have to agree with you on that now... but at the time I was thinking, my god, if she dies as well I don't think my heart can take it. But now, I think your right, because it lowers the power of the sacrifices that the other characters made. If you get my drift?

What gets me the most about Jakes sacrifice is that he sacrificed himself twice, before in the other reality (gunslinger) and again at the end. And I was the same age as Jake when I started reading (11) and then for them to die ten years later, it was like growing up. Can't describe it man, I'm getting all teared up ;_;

Yeah, at the end. Oo, I didn't think about how I'd feel if she died too. Yeah, that's what I mean, though now that I think about it, I think she was the one who was the least bit of a Tower Junkie, so I guess it makes sense that she'd go off. I guess it's just the fact that it's not HER Eddie and HER Jake. They're different.

And I'm completely the same way about Jake and his two sacrifices. I started reading these early, and Jake was my favorite from the beginning. To have such a crappy home life, and then die, but then bond with Roland, but then sacrifice yourself, but then come BACK, and all the rest...

YES, that too! They werent her eddie and jake. I remember feeling that sense of unease about that at the time as well. And they don't really give the backstory to them either. Or did King explain that (cant remember)?
I always wondered whether the parallel Eddie was a drug addict, if he wasn't: how did he overcome that? I always thought the real Eddie only really became a true hero/gained dignity after he joined Rolands three. How he matured was the reason I fell in love with him.

What I loved about jake especially, way back in the drawing of the three, is how he dealt with the way his mind was seperating into two, and how he would open doors only to find his bedroom. I found that a lot more scarier than the monster at the gateway (when Roland came to get him). I always thought he was such a strong kid, and that crappy life he had only strengthened my opinion of that.

P.s. I think I had a crush on eddie. lol. its the green eyes dammit!

I don't think he did, beyond the fact that they were suddenly brothers and there was a little bit of 'memory' about their parallel selves, but nothing big. Oo, I never thought about the drug addict part. Maybe because he was the older brother whom Jake looked up to instead of being the older brother that looked up to Henry was the reason that he might not have taken that path?

I loved those bits where we saw Jake's descent into madness, it was really well written so that I could see and hear and tell exactly what he was thinking. that's true of the whole series. It's so clearly presented in King's writing that the audience can easily see and enjoy the story.

I love green eyes too, but I never really developed that crush you get for fictional characters on Eddie. I love him, think he's hysterical and overcame so much(they all did, come to think of it...) but that's it.

The eddie crush was when I was hormonal with oncoming puberty. Too much info, sorry!

Yep, the series was so vivid. Its the loving details that King put into character history, and the imagery of the actual landscape that the series was set in. The whole dark tower itself grew in my mind to this enormous proportion.

Sigh, man, I wanna read those books again. I always wanted to own the whole collection. Might just go do it - thank you secret poster!

I was already on the borderline about whether to read it but recently with everyone in uproar bout DH and just the mention of dark towers, its kinda made me not want to read it and get glunslinger out inside. If you get my drift :)?

And, though I didnt read HP, I have to admit the whole DT series got me really involved emotionally. Like I was saying to

foreverrhapsody, I grew up with DT rather than HP and loved all the characters.
