I rise on a point of order: while I reject everything about the rest of the post in question, the Internet has now devised 'cuckquean' as the equivalent phenomenon for 'cuckold' but centered around women, so I would argue it's an accurate use of the phrase.

Nope. The man-babies on the internet can make up any word they want but it's still a flawed concept.

When a woman cheats on a man, she lessens the man, reduces him to less than a man. When a man cheats on a woman he lessens himself, not the woman. Thee idea of a cuckold is that the man isn't a real man anymore, no such implications are put upon a woman who is cheated on.

Lol, the fuck? Have you been reading Robertson Davies, because I swear a character in one of his books expresses that exact opinion.

Anyway, what a strange thing to believe.

You use that word for anyone who is incapable of keeping someone faithful. When you're cheated on you are a cuck. And you are the bloated queen of the cucks.

That's not why "cuck" is an insult though. The connotations of being cheated on as shameful are pretty strictly relegated to males--men have historically been expected to cheat on their wives, with it being fairly socially accepted. Thus, there has been little shame for a woman in her husband sleeping with other women.

It's not about keeping people faithful. Some people are faithless. They're going to betray anyone who puts faith in them unless you

a) find a loophole (but you can betray someone within that) or
b) don't value yourself enough to punish faithlessness and just deal.

Some people are just crappy, anon. If someone isn't faithful to you you fucking move on.

That's just not true. You have to tell yourself that, but the fact is you weren't worth being faithful to.

What a load of bullshit. People don't cheat because of their partner's flaws or failures--they cheat because of their own.

Nah. People like that aren't faithful to anybody.

And if I had to earn their honesty they aren't worth it in the first place. Good people are honest on their own.
