Nope, though I would wager it is more common on the wealthier part of town. A survey from last summer said 1 in 10 10 year old girls had a designer purse, which I think was a nationwide survey, and I would assume that number is higher the older they get. Really expensive jackets like Canada Goose and Parajumpers are also really common among young people. It probably is a lot more common in Oslo and other cities rather than the countryside though.

My family is not wealthy at all, so the fact that they used the money to buy it for my cousin is boggling to me as well.
