Re: Video Games
Most of the post-4 Resident Evil series is on Steam.
Obscure 1 and 2 (only played the original, but it was pretty fun)
The Evil Within (you'll need a decent PC for this)
Alan Wake and Alan Wake's American Nightmare
Dead Space 1 and 2 (3 is Origin-only)
Manhunt
Darkest Dungeon is a new Lovecraftian horror-themed RPG, though notably difficult.
Dark Souls has a really strong horror theme amidst its overall melancholy and hostile vibe. Bring a controller and plenty of patience, though.
That's about it really. Most horror games on PC are gonna be first person, unfortunately, especially since Amnesia made the "I have no hands and I must scream" genre of horror game popular. It's too bad Steam took a few years to really take off; there were some PC ports of PS2 games that IMO were pretty good, like The Suffering, but they kind of disappeared before digital distribution really became a thing. I'm surprised Obscure made it on, though being an Ubisoft product I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
