The obsession with phones.

People who meet up to have a meal or coffee together, but spend the whole time on their individual phones.

People who won't get off their phone long enough to pay actual attention to someone who is trying to serve them - cashier, barista, waitperson, desk clerk, whoever.

I've seen it too many times for me not to think that at least some people consider this normal.
