My grandmother and I sat down to watch a movie and about twenty minutes later she turned to me and went 'By the way, [Massive Spoiler]' and when I just stared at her she went 'I have always wanted to spoil someone.'

I would normally be ticked off (It was a really good movie and the spoiler is a major plot twist that changes everything about it) but she never does things like that and she was so pleased with herself that I couldn't help but find it funny.

(She's actually, as I type this, in the kitchen telling my grandfather about it. 'I have no idea why I did that, I've never done it before')

Spoilers for A Beautiful Mind

[personal profile] nonnymouscawitz 2016-02-10 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
We were a few minutes into A Beautiful Mind, and had not even met Jennifer Connelly's character yet, when my grandmother turned to me and said 'His roommate isn't real.' And so of course when the little girl showed up I knew she wasn't real either, and was easily able to discern that he was hallucinating the government agents hunting him and probably never worked for the government. Whole movie unraveled.
