I get what you mean but I guess it might have something to do with the fact that he's never really portrayed as an eldritch horror type of god? If you ignore the black eyes, he looks quite normal most of the time. But I understand if you think it'd be a bit more interesting for fandom if there was a bit more diversity in the way he's written.
I like him a lot the way he is and I'm very interested in what interaction with him will be like in Dishonored 2.
