It's frustrating because I flat-out said it was a different situation in a full-fantasy world, but that was ignored. I flat-out said that women do these things in the world, but THAT was ignored.

And yes, there are a lot of female cops and servicewomen and I presume firefighters. But you don't typically see them all in one place, all working together, which seems to me, personally, to be what a lot of people who make claims about unrealism are complaining about and what a lot of other people are advocating for when they say things like "It'd been better if they were all women!" about a lot of media that is typically full of men, because typically MORE men do those things because MORE men seem to be physically suited to those things. That doesn't mean there AREN'T women suited to them.

Okay, I think I might know where the disconnect is coming from! To me, when people bring up this issue, they're talking about how women seem to always be threatened with rape, and seem to always be in a socially subservient position, and seem to always be discounted as possible combatants. A lot of people have a problem with that not only because it's not inevitable that women would wind up in such positions, but also because fantasy doesn't have to operate within real world paradigms. It seems like your issue is more with the idea of women being dominant in physically demanding areas. Does that hit the mark?

I haven't seen the kind of thing you're talking about (if I'm reading you right). I've more seen people saying, "but could we have some women over here, and could we have fewer women having X, Y, and Z done to them?"
