Everyone knows who he was. He was Tessio in The Godfather.

(Anonymous) 2016-02-11 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
Er... I've never seen The Godfather. Should I?

(Anonymous) 2016-02-11 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
yes, absolutely, but don't start with the cut that's currently on HBO - that's a chronological mashup of the first two films. It's interesting if you're a fan, but it kind of kills the flow. Definitely at least check out the first film.

You should. It's pretty amazing. But like previous anon said, make sure you get the original.
Also, go in with the right expectations. It's a much slower movie than what Hollywood is doing these days.

Blech, no. So dull.

(Anonymous) 2016-02-11 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't know who he is, or who Tessio is...

(Anonymous) 2016-02-12 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
He was on the TV show "Barney Miller" in the 1970s.

timely secret for me, I just finished watching the seven hour mega-cut on HBO a few minutes ago before checking FS and had a bit of sadness at seeing him.

FISH!

(Anonymous) 2016-02-11 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
Conan O'Brien fans may remember him.

His death got me looking up Barney Miller after three decades. Oddly, I'm watching episodes from after he left.

It's such a great show...you won't regret watching.

I watched a bunch of episodes with my Grandmom. It's a pretty funny show and pretty progressive for the 70s too!

He was so very, very fun in Barney Miller!

Agreed! I'm not a grandparent age (er, unless people had babies very young), but I enjoyed Barney Miller a lot when I was a kid!
