iirc he flips out at one point because he doesn't want to be seen as a piece of meat anymore and he'd rather go on adventures than deal with this romance drama bullshit? Pretty sure he said that to Crocker-tier Jane when she was talking to him on Derse. He also flips out when Arenea hits on him on Derse. I haven't reached that part of my Homestuck re-read so details might be off.

Jake's romance issues might have also been touched on during that giant-ass conversation chain in the retcon session too but that's even fuzzier in my memory. I only read that part once.

I don't remember "aromantic" coming up in canon specifically but there's probably enough there to see him as aromantic.
