Wow the truth in that.

They definitely both blame themselves, making the whole narrative unreliable; how much is Dirk really manipulative and how much of it is Dirk seeing himself as manipulative? I realize that I phrased in a way that put most of the blame on him, but Jake is just as "guilty", with instead of talking to Dirk about their problems constantly nagging on Jane and thus painting Dirk even more as the bad guy in the relationship.

And that's what's so interesting about their relationship too dfghg please give me the fic I deserve fandom I've been a good girl.
