Bucky's not really disabled with his cyborg arm though. (This is coming from a disabled person too, I definitely wouldn't consider myself disabled if someone gave me a new titanium spine for instance.) So it's literally like switching out an "ugly, functional arm" with a "better one" (i.e. plain old human). The comparison is pretty apt since in both cases it's because people care more about the character looking acceptable to flick their bean to rather than the actual unique character traits that make up the character they supposedly like in the first place.
