"Were" implied they're somehow dead and over with.

No, they're gonna be one of the few immortal bands who will live on past the band itself. Atleast, in my mind. I'll be forcing my kids to be listening to their music, telling them that bands never got better after the 90's. Yes, there are some good bands out there today, but none of them quite hit the level that bands like The Police hit.

But, that's just me wearing my music analyst hat. But they mean an awful lot to me.

I meant "were" because they really aren't together (I don't count their short reunion). Their music is still totally amazing and they are still one of the bests. I didn't mean it the way it came out.

Alright, I understand your point. My mistake for misunderstanding.

And thank you. I just hope I raise my kids right. I've already planned that I'm not gonna buy them any more video games until they can beat Megaman X1 atleast once. Teach 'em a thing or two about good design and challenging gameplay. Tell em, "See this? Games never got better then in the SNES era." Althou the DS is making a strong case...

Well, I suppose I'll just have to find out, won't I?
