9. I enjoy watching that show, too. XD Although my favorite PBS Kids show is WordGirl.

17. People actually say that? O_o;;; I've always thought Indian people look really beautiful! (Although I lived in India for a time, so that could be part of it.)

38. Wh-what? No Hiro? He was the only character I watched the show for when I tried to watch it!!!

39. I think some people were Nazis without...exactly believing in some of the horrible things they did? AFIK, the Nazis REALLY misled the German people in the beginning--they REALLY believed that they were doing the 'right' thing. I can see Alfons not agreeing with the genocide that would come, but thinking that the Nazis would do great things for Germany. It doesn't make him a horrible person--just decieved like a large chunk of the German population.

53. ...That's really creepy. I can see a Hot Topic-going goth-wannabe teen acting like Light (yes, I'm being horribly sterotypical, and I actually buy anime t-shirts at HT so I'm being a hypocrit), but...a mother? A...a nuturing mother? That's so...against what you'd typically think.

39. I was going to comment the same thing! I've read many accounts of people who signed on early (they use to give away free beer at their rallies, they even signed up children) without absolutely no idea of what was to come.

Gosh, I had no idea they signed up children, too. O_o;; Although I know a little about the Nazi Youth thanks to an RP I used to be in...but yeah, things like that weren't quite so...black-and-white, sometimes. I mean, the higher-up Nazis were definitely bad, but there were so many Germans that were just following orders or horribly, horribly deceived. Even the soldiers...some were bad people, but...it's hard to blanket everyone like that.

I dunno. XD;; Maybe sometimes we hate a song because of what it's associated with, and when something makes us see it in a new light we can reconcile liking it? Or something like that.

Quite possibly. The reason I hated it so much was because it came out around the time that I was obsessed with The White Stripes' version of Jolene...and I couldn't help but think it was being sung from "Jolene"'s whorish point of view. XD

Of course, I should be used to this... affiliate anything with a strong enough fandom of mine and I'll like it.

If it was the one about liking Arthur, Maya and Miguel, and WordGirl because of working at a daycare, that one was actually mine. XDDD

That twas the one. I actually think Arthur is even more awesome than Word Girl. Maybe I've just loved it longer.
But when you have 5 channels(rents say cable/satellite=waste of $) you end up watching a good deal of pbs when you're home during the day. But I'm at college now and have cable and actually haven't watched PBS in a while. All this talk makes me want to. :)

Oh and WordGirl/Toby=OTP.

I like them both about equally, I think. I've gotten to where I record them both on DVR XD (And I'm always mildly disappointed when the kids want to have a movie on when Arthur or WordGirl is about to come on.) I know there's at least a bit of a fandom for Arthur, but...hmm, maybe WordGirl is too new?

The only thing I can figure is that she admires his ambition to be a reporter? And the website says she works on the school newspaper with him, so maybe it's just that she's known him for a while. But sometimes it almost seems like Scoops is barely friendly with her, and he seems to enjoy picking on her...I don't get it. XD;
