#38. ...Gonna get a little TL;DR about this secret (all my opinion), most of your casting choices I agree, if these were the focuses of season 3 I would like it. Maya is good, she has a lot of potential and when at the end of season 2 she finally got a backbone, unlike some I didn't hate her guts with a passion. Her constant weaping was an irritant, but as she learned to control her powers she made me start to appreciate her. She's not a bad character, she was rather spineless. No Petrelli brothers would mean only one thing, an end to stupid Petrelli fanbrats. I don't think they should completely leave the show but I'm hoping some of their more crazy fans would wander away or sane up. No Hiro makes me sad, that FBI agent though? I totally disagree with that summation, her character was underused and poorly written I feel and created. Her scenes plodded she added no real shine or depth to the program, she was an FBI agent who knew Sylar well enough but there wasn't much to the woman herself. When she was written off I fullheartedly agreed with the producers on that. She added nothing to the show simply. Now as for Sylar, he makes a good villain but he's in serious danger (and I think is already there) of becoming (or as I said already is) a producer darling. Nothing much will happen to him because the producers (and his idiot fanbrats) love him too much, he can't change character too much because fans love him best when he's evil and menacing the rest of the cast, if he goes in any other direction we get whining that people miss the "OLD" Sylar and he was (hawt) or (kewel) when he was a plain ole serial killer/big baddie (and I agree he was) the producers won't get rid of him because he has a HUGE fanbase and is a HUGE draw. Mainly he's now stagnant to me, and I think he needs to change or evolve or get the fuck off. Adam was a refreshing change I thought, while I hope there's more growth with him and I Hope to god it wasn't just one CHICK that made become evil and want all revenge on Hiro. I sincerely hope you don't dismiss my opinions because I am an admitted Adam fan (goddamn he's hot) and David Anders rules. But I only want him on the show if he'll add more to it, if they keep him in a pool of stagnation like I think Sylar is, then in the good grace of the show's progression he'll need to get off too.

Wow...talking about that was actually kind of fun...

Maya
Agreed on the potential, disagreed on the spinelessness. She was not constantly a pillar of strength, sure, but considering her situation she did fairly well.

Petrelli brothers
If I'm perfectly fair, there is no way they can be quietly written off the show without it feeling unsatisfying and unfinished. I demand to be shown some serious character development by Peter, first, finally. But I wouldn't mind if Nathan stayed in a coma (they should have let him die in last season's finale...), and if Peter's role became minicule or if he disappeared for a longer period of time.
And it would be really great to have no more Petrelli fanbrats, although they would probably still stay around and make petitions and ask for Maya or Monica to get killed off in their stead, and be otherwise disgusting and infantile...

Audrey
I like her attitude, mostly. She's blunt and grimly determined, and her type is a nice change from most of the other female characters. Also visually. And I love Clea Duvall and I can't even say why, she just feels real.
That having said, I am not sure she could be incorporated into a storyline without major consequences, because I would want her to be successful and a force to be reckoned with. But if the FBI gets involved properly, becomes aware of what's going on, it will mean alot of changes for all the characters' lives. and wouldn't possibly have a place in the planned storylines.

Sylar
I'd definitely use Sylar sparingly and to the point, because he'd really lose his bite if used excessively. But I do want him to stay around in any case since I want him to continue playing a role in Mohinder's life. And that mostly because it makes Mohinder look awesome. I'm biased. :)

Hiro
Time travel is so hard to write. :( I'd rather he take a step back now, and maybe spend some time having lost his hope, determination and consequently his power as well, while Ando - and maybe Kimiko - gets to do something.
He can come back later, maybe in an unexpectedly shocking Adam-related twist.

Adam
Adam's fangirls go on my nerves just like the Petrelli fangirls. ;P Well, maybe not as much, but... he is not that great a character, and I kind of suspect that most people don't like Adam, but rather his actor, or even just this actor's other television role. If Adam is so great, why do they keep calling him Sark? (This is no attack against you...)
If he comes abck, he should just stay away from clichèd megololmaniacal supervillain schemes, and stick to more relatable viciousness. If he eventually escapes from his prison and starts stalking Hiro in an obsessed "I'll slowly kill everyone you care for and then torture you to death" sort of way, then I'd like that. But I think that for this to work, he should spend more than only two days buried. An extended break and a triumphant and shocking return would be best for this character.
And a better backstory than "I want to destroy humanity because my girlfriend cheated on me with my best friend"... please.

Honestly when I typed that I had no idea the paragraph would be so long ._.;; Either way I like your style, I'm adding you as a friend.

Maya, well I suppose she did do the best she could in such a situation certainly and when she found out what Sylar did to her brother she certainly didn't whimper and back down. She was ready to murder his ass which really made me like her.

As for Audrey, I can see your points, and I do like the actress, it was the character that dissappointed me. Bringing in the FBI would merely complicate things more, but it would add an extra element of suspense if done right.

Peter is the writers golden boy right now since he has almost unlimited power and doesn't even have to kill anyone to get it. He needs to evolve more I agree on that.

I never watched 'Alias' so I had no idea what the character is like. I take it he's similar to Adam? I completely agree on this, and the need for a new back story. Then again I suppose I would find him stalking Hiro obsessively after being buried for an extended period of time and coming back even more crazy then he is terribly hot very frightening.

Yeah, exactly. If the FBI is brought back, I'd certainly want it to play a meaningful role in the story. It could be quite cool, bu it'd make me sad f they were just around for an epispode or so.
I think in 2x09, Matt phoned the FBI and mentioned a new special unit... or something like this, I've forgotten the exact words. It makes me wonder whether they are planning to take the story in such a direction at som point.

But that makes it difficult to write him, doesn't it... If Peter overcame his issues, he'd probably end up as the ultmate joker card, since he could solve any problem all by himself. :( Tricky.
