1- Uhm...no. Crit's good. Crushing someone? Not.

What is crit rating? My friend plays wow and tries to teach me but IDK it...

Crit rating is your chance to get a critical strike, which does super happy extra fun damage and, depending on your spec, can trigger all sorts of extra fun effects.

For melee, it's determined by agility; for casters, it's determined by intellect. But you can also get buffs that affect the crit rating directly rather than the stat. Most end-game pieces stack it rather heavily.
