(Tales from the Borderlands)

That happens? Shit man, sign me up. In every fandom I've been in I only ever see the opposite, where the height and size difference between characters is emphasised to the point of fetishism. Ignoring height differences entirely sounds like a refreshing change.

There's still a ton of works that include their height difference tho. It's fairly noticable in canon (Vaugh's head reaches about Rhys' chest level, but Rhys is also a fairly tall man) and I haven't seen any fanwork so far that fetishizes their height difference (Vaugh is also fairly muscular, which makes people playing off the "tall powerful seme and sweet dainty tiny uke" more improbably)

The main thing that pisses me off when I see it is more the fact that it seems like some people just said "I WANT TO DRAW ____" but didn't even take a glance at canon to see a fairly obvious detail.

And let's not forget the classic "completely reversing the height difference of the characters to bring your ship in compliance with yaoi tropes."

A TALES FROM THE BORDERLANDS SECRET, WOOOO!!!

(honestly I'm just chuffed there IS a fandom :D though...yeah, that would annoy me too if I'd noticed it. I tend to see a bunch of fanart that keeps the height difference intact)
