Movies: Lord of the Rings. Sometimes Star Wars. But mostly Lord of the Rings.

TV: Doctor Who. Sometimes Babylon 5 or Buffy.

Books: Not really sure. I don't have any go-to books for reading when I want comfort. Reading itself is comforting, but I don't go to any particular books.

My movie is by far The Lion King. I don't really have a comfort book. I have some comfort fanfics, but not books.

Harry Potter.

Always Harry Potter.

It will always be Harry Potter.

When I'm old and I'm stressed out about how my friends and husband are all dying and I'm exhausted and miserable by my aching joints, I will get my old copies down from the shelf.

And my grandkids will say, "After all this time?"

And I will answer, "Always."

Not so much a book or movie, but man... watching a video or two from the Best Friends never fails to calm me down if it's been a hard day.

Those guys really are doing the world a service by being terrible at video games and wrong about everything.

My favorite comfort movie is that bowdlerized Digimon movie released in the US. I know it's kind of a messy movie what with the mish-mashed plots from three separate movies and all, but I've got a soft spot for it and I watched it so many times as a kid that I had the dialogue memorized. I also like that crazy Secret of Anastasia movie where her family's composed of musical instruments for some reason.

As for comfort books, I like anything by Meg Cabot or Sophie Kinsella (minus the latest Shopaholic sequels and Wedding Night).

Spirited Away is definitely a comfort movie for me. Also just curling up and playing a bit of pokemon makes me feel more relaxed, especially older games.

I reread Bridget Jones's Diary all the time as my comfort book. It's so funny and so quick to get through.

Movie: Labyrinth (surprising exactly no one, but it's very easy to watch and doesn't require a whole lot of effort to focus on)

Book: Life Expectancy by Dean Koontz (Just the right amount of comedy without detracting from the seriousness of the story, and I've enjoyed every reread) and Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson (This is a bit of an odd choice, I know, but for me, I find books that make me cry to be incredibly soothing.)

I haven't gotten back into for a long while because I know once I start, I won't be able to put the book down: pretty much any of Terry Pratchett's books, specially those with Vimes in it.
